Entities such as hospital systems, universities, public health offices, social service organizations, and businesses need to access population health trends, barriers, and outcomes. Showing data by geographic and demographic disaggregation helps to interpret and communicate information to community and relevant stakeholders.
The data available on DataShareSCC.org informs multiple important initiatives; community health assessments, community health improvement plans, grant applications, accurate research, economic development initiatives, and identifies social determinants to focus on for healthy populations.
As a region, we are duplicating data collection efforts at an individual level and spending thousands of dollars more than needed when we could be collaborating more efficiently.
Your partnership and contribution to www.DataShareSCC.org will help us to provide continued free access for our region to this open data platform. With this partnership and commitment, DSSCC Administrative Partners look forward to working together to establish Santa Cruz County as an equitable, thriving, resilient community where everyone shares responsibility for creating the social, economic, and environmental conditions necessary for health and well-being at every stage of life.
