Concern for the Environment: Litter

Measurement Period: 2019
Santa Cruz County residents responding to the Community Assessment Project (CAP) telephone survey were asked what concerns them the most about the natural environment. This indicator shows the percentage of survey respondents who answered that litter is at the top of their environmental concerns.

Why is this important?

Concern for the environment is an important indicator because many aspects of the community's health, wellbeing and livelihood depend on the quality of the natural environment.
