Measurement Period: 2023
This indicator shows the percent of high school graduates who are prepared for college or a career.

Why is this important?

The college/career indicator was designed to encourage high schools to provide all students with a rigorous broad course of study that will lead to likely success after high school. This indicator recognizes that students pursue various options after graduation, including college or a career, based on completed coursework, interests, and extracurricular activities. Students decide at the end of high school which path to pursue but should be fully prepared for either path.
